Rural Nevada family with a child hospitalized for two weeks in Reno with an unknown illness asked for help paying travel expenses. With only one parent working while the other stayed with the child, the financial strain had grown too great (especially with the current price of gasoline). The child was being discharged to an out-of-state medical facility hundreds of miles away. Our Board approved Arco gas cards which we hand-delivered on their way to the new medical facility.
