Referred by the Department of Child and Family Services, a request was made to help a 4th grader reading at a 1st grade level. The child additionally struggles to focus while reading due to having books that do not interest him. As part of his plan of care with Wraparound he will be practicing his reading skills 2x a week for 20 minutes. In an effort to help him focus, family requested help to purchase books on topics that interest him at his reading level. Our Board approved the small request for a Scholastic Book gift card so he could choose books to that would inspire him.
