New parents of premature baby asked for help purchasing an in-home infant scale. The child was recently discharged from Neonatal Intensive Care and the medical team wanted the parents to monitor daily the infant’s weight. With only one parent working while the other is caring for the baby, the cost of such a scale was beyond their financial reach as they continue to deal with medical expenses from the complications of the child’s premature birth.
