Moving to a new school over the summer break, working parents of three asked for help paying their portion of their child’s cheerleading fees. They missed the school’s spring fundraising opportunity, and the cost was more than they could afford. Believing a group sport activity for the teen would foster new friendships, a sense of belonging, and a healthy physical activity, our Board assisted approved the family’s request.
