When the high school student of working, single mother of three made the local baseball team, elation quickly went to despair. There was no way Mom could afford the fees (albeit under $e00) for registration/uniforms. We receiving glowing letters of recommendation from teachers, school counselors, and team coach in support of the child’s request. Knowing the benefits of team sports participation, our Board approved the request for help.
