Tuesday, August 26, 2021, Board member Mike Norman and Executive Director Annie Goni-Stewart took a drive down to the Carson City Elks Lodge. We were graciously met by their members and received a very generous $3,000 grant to fund Program Awards for vulnerable children, from birth to age 18, living in the Carson City area.
We additionally got to meet fellow grant recipient, Marlene Maffei, Food for Thought, who is working tirelessly to feed children in the Carson City area. This meeting will surely lead to a great partnership as our organizations are serving some of Northern Nevada’s most vulnerable children.
