Working father, at-home mother, and two children in rural Nevada asked for help paying travel expenses (gas cards) for weekly trips (100 miles roundtrip) for their baby to receive medical attention for a diagnosis of “failure to thrive” The high cost of fuel, distance traveled to access care, and other medical expenses were straining the family financially. We were able to provide gas cards to remove one worry from this young family.
