Retired grandparents recently assumed legal guardianship of their granddaughter after the child’s parents were incarcerated on drug charges. The social worker reached out to For Kids Foundation when she discovered the child was sleeping on the floor, and the grandparents could not afford the cost of a mattress/bed frame to provide the child with a good night’s sleep.
