Working, single mother of five asked for help with travel expenses. Her teenage daughter needed to travel to California for specialized care related to her kidney disease while awaiting a kidney donor. Requiring monthly trips to UC San Francisco to monitor her condition, Mom asked for help with gas, parking, and bridge tolls. Hoping to take one burden off this Mom’s plate, our Board approved the request and applaud Mom’s dedication to caring for her children. We are hopeful a donor becomes available soon for this child.
